- Get Feedback from your work. Each poster session this year will have two parts--one directly before lunch and one after with dessert served.
- Winning posters from each session will receive a ribbon and get a chance to record a video presentation of their poster to be posted on the SOLE website and in the conference app.
- Winning posters will have a picture taken with judges to be posted on the SOLE website and in the conference app.
- The first place winner from each session will receive complimentary registration to SOLE 2026 in Denver, CO
Guidelines for Poster Presenters
A good poster presentation provides a clear and succinct overview of your research. The following are a few tips for planning your poster:
- You must attend both parts of each session--before and after lunch.
- There is no size requirement, but boards are 4' high and 8' wide, so your poster should be smaller than that. You are responsible for printing your own poster.
- Please do not include large tables in your poster. Please summarize your key results rather than presenting large, dense tables.
- Try to avoid the use of acronyms, jargon, and abbreviations.
- Consider livening up your slides/poster with graphics and pictures. Graphics can be very effective in capturing the audience’s attention and focusing them on the point you want to make.
- Proof read and spell check.
- Arrive 5-10 minutes early so that you can put your poster up and be ready to engage with visitors to your poster. You can find your final poster board number in the meeting app and on the first and last poster boards. Push pins will be provided for you.
