SOLE Mentoring Program

SOLE is piloting a mentorship program for 2026-2027. The program is intended to provide small group mentoring for help with a specific research project, providing insight into how to improve the research and navigate the publishing process (and also possibly general advice about the profession).

The program will pair four mentees with two senior mentors in a group. To participate, each mentee will submit a paper — rough drafts are fully acceptable — which will be used to match mentees with mentors based on aligned research areas. Mentors will work with the mentees in their group to provide constructive feedback on their submitted paper. Mentees will also have the opportunity to provide feedback to other members of their group. We anticipate the program will consist of two group meetings via Zoom over a one-year period.

Please fill out this form if you are interested in participating as a mentor or as a mentee by Friday, September 4, 2026. Note that these are two different forms, so please be sure to complete the correct form.

Mentees should have graduated between 2020 and 2026, and mentors should be tenured (or be at least seven years post-Ph.D.)
